National Painting Week officially takes place from May 19th–29th. During this time, professional painters can give back to their communities by helping Sherwin-Williams with their selected projects for the year. Sherwin-Williams also enlists bloggers, design, and color experts for epic painting projects during these 11 days.
Last Year
Last year, Sherwin-Williams donated paint, time, and labor to 275 community projects to help revitalize classrooms and neighborhoods alongside local painters. It took 7,000 gallons of paint and supplies, 24,500 hours, and more than 3,700 volunteers to complete this work. That’s a lot of paint!
History
Sherwin-Williams celebrates “the power of color to transform rooms, homes, and entire communities.” They have more than 4,000 stores participating across the country. They also honor this week in Canada (from May 12th–28th). If you go in during these days, you will receive 30% off paints and stains!
Community Partners
Sherwin-Williams partners with organizations such as the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Boys & Girls Clubs of Canada, Rebuilding Together, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and Pottery Barn. The Boys & Girls Clubs help Sherwin-Williams complete projects that beautify places where youngsters go to learn. Rebuilding Together joins with Sherwin-Williams to revamp houses in lower-income areas to improve safety and health for those within the community. Ronald McDonald House Charities aids in making over spaces dedicated to keeping families with sick children close to each other with the appropriate care and resources. Finally, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, and PBteen contribute decor and furniture to select projects.
